To reinstate American as a player in luxury travel, we’re introducing a new class on their flights—an experience that harkens back to the glamour of the Jet Age with the iconic Pan Am.
Passengers will be flown back in time with the redesigned Pan Am First Class in AA jets. From repainting the plane, to the classic red and blue seats, passengers will feel like they’ve turned back the clock, but with a few modern amenities.
We’re going to revive vintage-style Pan Am ads across print, social, and OOH—to invite everyone to fly with nostalgia in First Class on American.
We’ll send famous travel influencers an iconic Pan Am flight attendant bag filled with 1960s paraphernalia, such as a film camera, vintage magazines, and their paper boarding pass. Once they’re aboard, we’ll give them an authentic Pan Am luxury experience—complete with 1960s outfits and a flight menu from the era.
